Katie-Booth
Over the last 20 years Katie Booth has managed the consolidation, preservation and succession of the assets of some of the world’s wealthiest entrepreneurs. Katie is a qualified British solicitor and practised as a private client lawyer with Kingsley Napley in London and Graham Thompson in Nassau, Bahamas. She went on to become a senior director at MeesPierson, NM Rothschild and Butterfield Bank and in the latter role established Butterfield International Private Office in Mayfair, London. She established her own private client consultancy in London in July 2011 and moved back to the Bahamas in 2014 to develop an independent trust company and family governance advisory practice. She is now the Managing Director of Amber Trust Ltd. which she operates from the new Financial Centre at Albany in New Providence.

Aliya Allen is a Partner in the GrahamThompson’s Financial Services, Private Client, Trusts and Estates Practice Groups. Aliya re-joined Graham Thompson in February 2016, following four years as CEO and Executive Director of the Bahamas Financial Services Board.

Dwayne Whylly is client-focused corporate and finance attorney based in The Bahamas, with international experience. He specialises in M&A, project financing, tax planning and reporting, corporate structuring and bank acquisition, establishment and ongoing obligations.
Alexandra-Hall

Alexandra Hall is a Partner and Chair of Higgs & Johnson’s Government & Regulatory Affairs practice group and Deputy-chair of the firm’s Tax practice group. She is also a member in the firm’s Commercial Law and Private Client and Wealth Management practice groups. She has experience in local tax law, corporate and commercial law, legal issues relating to resort development and operations and gaming law and regulation.

Dr David Hayton LLD (Cantab) LLD (Newcastle Univ) TEP (Hon) ACTAPS (Hon), Barrister and Bencher of Lincoln’s Inn, London, Fellow of King’s College London, was a full-time Judge of the Caribbean Court of Justice in Trinidad from July 2005 to July 2019. David joined Lennox Paton in early September 2019 as a Consultant, his practice spans the firm’s Trust and Litigation groups. He provides legal opinions, litigation support and acts as an expert witness in Trust Law and Arbitration.

Mr. Nottage is a Barrister-at-law and a founding Partner of Sovereign Advisors Bahamas. Prior to forming Sovereign Advisors, Mr. Nottage was manager and head of the LATAM Desk at one of the oldest trust companies in The Bahamas. During his six years as a trust officer and manager, Mr. Nottage was responsible for the structuring and administration of trusts, foundations, funds and other fiduciary products primarily for Latin American clients.

Lori C. Nelson is a member of the Firm’s Real Property & Development Practice Group, specialising in the area of Real Estate Development, specifically in relation to foreign direct investment and the sale and acquisition of hotels, marinas, and resort and mixed use developments and the purchase, sale and financing of residential and commercial property in The Bahamas. She advises clients on and facilitates the procurement of regulatory approvals from the relevant governmental bodies.
Vernice-Walkine

Following a 30 year career at the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, where she served as Director General, Vernice Walkine joined Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD) in November 2010 as vice-president of marketing and communications – becoming the first Bahamian to join NAD’s executive management team. She officially took over as NAD’s president and chief executive officer in 2013.

Mike Maura is a founding Director of APD Limited, the owner and operator of the Nassau Container Port, serving as Chairman of the commercial port company, he is a Director of Cable Bahamas and is immediate past Chairman of the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce & Employers Confederation. He has been in the marine transport and port operations business for over 25 years.
